Arnie Page passed away at South Lyon Medical Center on Saturday evening, August 30, 2014. He was 76.

Arnie was born in Yerington on July 12, 1938 at Scott’s Hospital the son of Lester and Polly (Marquiss)Page.

Arnie was a lifelong Yerington Resident, graduating from Yerington High School in 1956. As a young person, he was active in sports and student government. He attended Coalinga Junior College, where he earned an associate’s degree in business. Arnie graduated from San Jose State in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. After a brief career working for the Internal Revenue Service, Arnie began his life’s career as a meat cutter. He and his wife Mary, whom he married in 1958, lived in Lake Tahoe, California. In 1964, they moved to Yerington, with the opening of RC Food Center. He continued to work as a meat cutter and was very involved in the Yerington Volunteer Fire Department. In 1980, Arnie and Mary entered into a partnership with Burke and Janae Bristol in purchasing RC Food Center from Dino and Winni Ricci, where they continued to work until its closing in 2000. Upon retirement, Arnie and Mary traveled, became active members of the Lyon County Museum Board, and spent many hours with family activities.

Arnie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary; his son Jeff and his wife Jill Page and their 5 sons, his daughter Leslie and her husband Scott Lommori and their 3 daughters; his sisters, Dorthea Phelan and Colleen Woods.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the Yerington Intermediate School Auditorium. Following the service, a fellowship will be held at the Yerington Fire Dept.
