Frances C. Pacheco, 84, of Delta, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at her home. A resident of Delta, Colorado for the past three years and former resident of Green River, Wyoming, Mrs. Pacheco died from natural causes.

She was born on December 8, 1929 in Chamisal, New Mexico, the daughter of the late Onecimo and Senida Martinez.

Mrs. Pacheco attended schools in Chamisal, New Mexico.

She married Arthur Pacheco in Green River, Wyoming and he preceded her in death on November 7, 1965.

Mrs. Pacheco was employed at the Mustang Café as a cook for many years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Her interests included gambling in Wendover and Las Vegas and playing cards with her family. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, cooking, preparing her good old fashion Mexican food and making home-made tortillas for everyone, which is a traditional thing in her own family. After moving to Delta, Colorado with her daughter, she past her time by embroidering, coloring, painting, going to baseball games, wrestling matches, soccer games and of course bingo, you couldn’t forget that. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attended Day-by-Day, where she looked forward to doing activities, which included bowling every Friday. Riverside Gardens was another place she attended, where she spent her final days getting to know new people and making tortillas there for the last time.

Survivors include her three sons Arthur Pacheco of Green River, Wyoming, Toby Pacheco of Casper, Wyoming and Mike Pacheco of Cheyenne, Wyoming; four daughters Darlene Lee and husband Jerry of Green River, Wyoming, Maxine Sparks and husband Kevin of Caledonia, Missouri, Audrey Fantin and husband Randy of Delta, Colorado and Peggy Moore and husband Ron of Yakima, Washington; one brother Teto Martinez and wife Tonya of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one sister-in-law Eva Marie Lundgren of Grand Junction, Colorado; twenty grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Arthur; two sons Alex and Floyd Pacheco; three brothers Thomas Martinez, Eluferio Martinez and Amos Martinez and one sister Cedelia Evans.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 900 Hitching Post Drive, Green River, Wyoming. A vigil service with rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the church. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Green River, Wyoming. Friends may call at the church on Thursday one hour prior to the rosary and on Friday at the church, one hour prior to services.

The family of Frances C. Pacheco will be receiving relatives and friends at the home of Gloria and Rex at 610 Jefferson in Green River, Wyoming.

Pallbearers: Brandon Pacheco, Randy Fantin, Jr., Austin Pacheco, Kevin McCarrie, Joe Kight, Dakota McCarrie and Joshua Torpey.
